![]() In Twelve Minutes, the writer did not want this option to succeed, and therefore prevented it with a complication that makes sense in the context of the story: The police won't be fast enough to arrive before the time loop resets. It just needs to be _addressed_ in the game. However, the most sensible option doesn't need to lead to a solution. Since the game plays in the US, calling the cops when you know that a break-in will happen _is_ the most sensible option. The game most probably takes place in a metropolitan area in the US - the emergency call is 911, cancer treatment won't be covered by health insurance, all characters are white, and two British actors are giving their characters an American accent. I think the game handles the "call the cops" scenario okay-ish. At least the game is realistic on that part. They let you call the cops which is great but reset the timeline after 10min anyway? Actually i was right this is definitely a liberal made game, the cops take so long because they got defunded by leftists. I agree the most sensible things are just ignored. It's still a poorly designed situation though, because there are so many things that would make sense but are overlooked or deliberately left out. Which you can't get if the cop doesn't enter. And to do that, you need (among other things) some information from the cop. The problem that the game wants you to solve, is the time loop. But that doesn't help you because you're still stuck in the time loop. There _is_ actually a way in the game to prevent the cop from entering your flat. That said, keeping the fake cop out would not help you. In my experience, that will mainly lead to frustration. I looked around the house and found some useless items like the gift that only annoys your wife if you show it to her, or the aforementioned watch the invader is after, but even if i have it in my inventory i can't tell this jack-off to take it and leave, instead my character just says "sir? sir? sir?" like an imbecile instead of mentioning the watch right away. This is so stupid, your character obviously knows you're in danger and you can convince your wife that you can travel back in time.Īnyway, i don't wanna look up the solution, but it's getting ridiculous and i feel like i'm missing something. This would actually buy enough time for the cops to show, or at least persuade the home invader to leave. I mean ♥♥♥♥, you can convince your wife that you can travel back in time so i would say convincing her to help set up defences wouldn't be too difficult of a task, especially if you start barricading right away. There's a couch, a bed, a table, even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fridge would work. Speaking of the door, other than locking it there's nothing you can do to barricade yourself. Maybe a door in your house, but not the one that's supposed to keep unwanted people from getting inside. And people wonder why i own enough guns to arm up to 17 guests if need be.ĭon't even get me started on a door that can be forced with only a shoulder. This is basically what happens when you're a liberal and refuse to own even one firearm in your house because "gUnZ r ScAwY aNd UsElEsS!!!11" i guess, someone can just break in and ♥♥♥♥ you and your wife up. I checked the whole house for guns or anything i could use to defend myself better, but you can't use anything else other than the knife, not even the mug or the fake candles as a projectile. There are numerous occasions where taking the cop by surprise would be so easy a child could do it, but nah you're playing someone who has the density of a neutron star and can't do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ properly. I tried sneaking up on the fake cop, but your character has sneak -9999 and always makes as much noise as possible to make that task impossible. I've been playing for 4 hours and the best i could do is stab him once, then your character instead of doing the logical thing of, i don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ know, anything but checking his steam trade offers on his phone and standing still to get shot does exactly that. So you're obviously meant to kill the fake cop or stall for time so that the real cops show up.
